Reflection of 15 years of Pathways of education
At our Regent Park site the drop-out rate has been reduced from 56% to 10% and the post-secondary participation rate increased from 20% to 80%. In the Lawrence Heights Community (Allen Expressway & Lawrence Avenue West), the number of students considered to be “at-risk” decreased from 38.5% to 18.5% since our inception.
Since the start of the Pathways program, graduation rates in the Lawrence Heights community has increased by up to 20% and more than 60% of students in the program each year have pursed post-secondary education.
Pathways started with 68 students in 2007 and now is serving 300+ students (more than 80% of eligible high school students from Lawrence Heights)
