Donating to Unison
You can support Unison’s work by making a donation. We value every gift!
Your donation will help us provide assistance and enhanced support to our community programs and services including:
- Knitting in Motion is a weekly knitting program in Lawrence Heights that brings together youth and seniors in a community setting. The program fosters conversation, understanding, activity and sense of giving back to those in need. It also promotes good mental health by providing a relaxing and engaging group activity.
- The Streets to Homes Breakfast Program and Community Kitchen at our Keele-Rogers site supports housing clients who face difficulties searching for and maintaining housing. Besides offering nutritious meals, the program includes information on community resources, social networking opportunities and healthy eating tips.
- Forever Young is a weekly health promotion program for seniors at our Lawrence Heights location. Activities are geared towards building self-esteem, social inclusion, budgeting and healthy eating to support independent aging at home, well-being and quality of life for seniors in the community.
- The Northview Garden at our Bathurst-Finch Hub. This is a community learning garden run by passionate and dedicated volunteers. Using organic methods, they grow vegetables and fruit, donating much of it to the North York Harvest Food Bank. The gardeners also grow flowers to create a beautiful space that everyone can enjoy.
