April Mental Health Programs

This April, Unison Health and Community Services invites community members to take time for their mental well-being through a variety of supportive programs and workshops.

Our April lineup offers opportunities to connect, learn practical coping strategies, and build resilience in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Programs include mental wellness workshops, peer support groups, and guided sessions focused on stress management, mindfulness, and physical and emotional well-being.


Breathwork (Virtual)

Breathwork refers to breathing exercises or techniques to improve mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Practice in breathwork can boost immunity; reduce stress and anxiety; improve sleep quality; increase lunch capacity; process emotions; heal emotional pain and trauma.

Mindfulness & Art Workshop

Unlocking Creativity for Inner Peace

Join us for a soothing spring session that uses hands on art to support relaxation, mindfulness, and mental wellness.

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Boost mood and self-esteem
  • Improve cognitive function
  • Provides a collective sense of purpose through an open discussion and art making

Join us for dinner and a free 3-part workshop series focused on exploring and understanding queerness and identity.

Mind, Body, and Soca is a therapeutic group for seniors and youth that combines Socasize – a creative blend of Caribbean and African dance – with mindfulness exercises.
