The program focuses on topics that promote healthy aging. If you are a seniors over the age of 55 and live within the Lawrence Heights or nearby neighborhoods, you are welcome to join our weekly program. Sessions include health education, reading circle, movie day, summer outings, arts and crafts and much more. We provide free snacks and a nutritious lunch to program participants. Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) is offered at several weekly drop-in locations within our catchment area. The program offers expertise in nutrition, and prenatal and postnatal care. CPNP program includes: opportunities to meet other women, learning about pregnancy, baby care and healthy eating, one-on-one appointments with a Public Health Nurse and Dietician, breastfeeding support, enjoying a snack and tasting new food. TTC tokens, Food Gift Certificates, childcare and interpretation services are available to participants.

A participant-led community kitchen program, offering an opportunity for Spanish-speaking clients to enjoy cooking and sharing tips on healthy eating. Registration is required. Lunch is included.

This group of older adults and seniors from the Weston Mount Dennis Communities meets monthly to talk about issues related to health, education and community resources, and to celebrate cultural festivals and cooking healthy food with a registered dietitian. The program is open to all, but registration is required. .
