The Unison Legal Clinic is one of 74 community legal clinics in the Province of Ontario offering services to people with low income. 

Our legal team includes lawyers, community legal workers and support staff.  Legal services include summary legal advice, legal representation, public legal education, law reform, community outreach and community development.

Main areas of service:

  • Tenant issues
  • Immigration
  • Income maintenance (Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program)
  • Government pensions
  • Employment Insurance
  • Employment rights
  • Criminal Injuries Compensation
  • Human rights
  • Woman abuse
  • Legal documents

Clients must live within the former City of York in Toronto and some financial criteria also apply. Please see the map to check if you live in our catchment area
