Neighbourhood Action Group's goal is to improve safety of pedestrian crossings in the neighbourhood; specific crossings identified are located at Antibes Community Centre, Bathurst/Finch intersection, and the pedestrian islands along Bathurst between Finch and Steeles.
Pedestrian safety has been an on-going issue that was identified in the 2009-2010 year. The Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) will continue addressing solutions for the 2010-2011 year.
During a series of planning meetings, the NAG identified specific areas they would like to focus on to make pedestrian crossing safer: Bathurst-Finch intersection, pedestrian islands along Bathurst street (North of Finch across the Firehall, and North of Rockford Road/Dewlane Drive), and in front of the Antibes Community Centre. The NAG will be engaged in a community-wide campaign to promote the safety of these crossings to residents and schools.
If you have an interest in promoting pedestrian safety and would like to join this committee or the General NAG please contact us at 647-436-0385! New members are always welcome!
