Volunteers and placement students support our work in engaging clients through high quality, accessible health and community services.  We offer many different and rewarding ways for volunteers and students to work with us.

Student Placements

Unison welcomes student placements from universities, colleges and secondary school co-op programs. In order to ensure a successful experience which will benefit students, clients and our community, students are provided with orientation, opportunities to participate in workshops and staff meetings as well as supervision by Unison staff members.

A limited number of opportunities exist for students in the fields such as nursing, social work, health promotion, community services and developmental services.

We normally recruit students from universities and colleges with which we have an established history of placing students.  Please note that we are not able to respond to placement inquiries from individual students.

Volunteer Opportunities

Available volunteer opportunities are posted on this page. Please note that we are not able respond to general volunteer inquiries.

We encourage applicants who are reflective of the diversity of our communities, including those who may need accommodation.
